DEER VALLEY

Vista Lounge at Montage

It doesn’t get much more luxurious for après than the Vista Lounge at Montage Deer Valley.  First, you are surrounded by the gorgeous snow-covered mountains of Deer Valley, then add in a beautiful expansive lounge with big comfy chairs and lively lounge music, and finally completed by five star service with perfect snacks and drinks.  Sounds pretty spectacular, right?  This mountain great room is perfect for friends and family to gather after a day playing and share alpine inspired cuisine and enjoy great live entertainment. In addition to the lounge, directly adjacent you can find Yama Sushi. Translated from the Japanese word for mountain, Yama Sushi serves the finest seafood along with sake flight pairings and beers from around the world.

What we love:
Their alpine classic cuisine perfectly fits the setting.  Try the amazing charcuterie with Creminelli Meats, house-cured pickles black-ale mustard, toasted bread alpine squeeze.  Or the classic cheese fondue with Emmentaler and Gruyère cheese, and pair with a cold beer or tasty cocktail.

When: 5-10 p.m. daily
Where: Top of Deer Valley in the Montage Deer ValleyVista

MAIN STREET

Butcher’s Chop House and Bar

It is hard to get a better location from the town lift than Butcher’s.  You can literally ski into the door for a lively lounge with something for everyone.  On their lounge and restaurant menu they offer incredible steaks, fresh sea food, perfect pastas, crisp salads and much more. They have tons of options for craft drafts and bottled beers, plus great custom signature cocktails.

What we love:
With the combo of the words lobster and nachos, you can’t go wrong.  With house-made pepper jack cheese sauce, lump lobster meat, fresh sliced jalapeño and cilantro, then finished with cotija cheese over house-made tortilla chips.  They have a plethora of great apps, salads and meaty dishes to recover after a day on the mountain.

When: daily at 3 p.m.-midnight
Where: 751 Lower Main Street, next to the Town Lift

Umbrella Bar

UNEXPECTED APRES

Squatters

The conveniently located Squatters, has been pouring their popular beers since 1989.  They began in Salt Lake, but we are very thankful they since have expanded to their Park City location. Not only do they serve world-class handcrafted beer and delicious food to pair, but we have always loved their involvement in the community and philanthropy.  They call it their Triple Bottom Line philosophy of People Planet Profit, where supporting a healthy community is a priority. They also focus on using products produced from post-consumer recycled materials and purchasing goods that are environmentally friendly.

What we love:
It is hard to not try a cold frothy beer and their famous roadhouse nachos with Jack and cheddar, house made tortilla chips and black bean refritos, topped with jalapeño, tomato, black olive, sour cream, salsa and guacamole.  Don’t forget about their pizzas though, their rustic Italian is delish and it can also be prepared gluten free!

When: 8 a.m.-10 p.m. (11 p.m. Fri & Sat)
Where: 1900 Park Ave.
