Drafts Burger Bar Opens With New Concepts in Dining

0

This winter Draft’s Burger Bar is simplifying the award-winning food while adding some entertaining quotes on the menu to get the conversation rolling. Gone are the pizzas, but they have added 10 gourmet burgers to please the foodie in all of us. But if burgers aren’t your thing, maybe a salad or six varieties of wings can tempt your taste buds along with one of the many cold beers.

One of the most unique burgers is the Land of the Rising Bun, with kimchi, pickled cucumber and carrot slaw, cilantro, avocado and a subtle teriyaki glaze with a perfectly cooked egg topping it off. The burger was delicious, with the crispy cold slaw and just enough kimchi to let you know this was not your average burger.

If you’re craving surf and turf, the Patriot burger would be a great choice with a fresh topping of lobster.

The I Heart Garlic burger is a classic burger with caramelized garlic and onions, garlic aioli, applewood smoked bacon, sautéed mushrooms, Swiss cheese, lettuce and tomato. While the garlic is not over powering, we added the garlic butter that came with the house fries that took it up a notch for the garlic lover.

Hands down the crowd favorite was the Italian Stallion. The very fresh basil pesto wakes up your taste buds along with tomato bruschetta, crisp pancetta, arugula and balsamic glaze. Then add in the savory truffle tots or sweet potato fries with maple butter to send you over to food heaven.

Don’t forget to order at least one of their Above-the-Rim hand-crafted shakes. This one in particular is the Butterfinger shake, but they have an Oreo concoction, a vanilla shake ordained with cookies and fried Twinkies, a strawberry shake with wafer cookies and Pop Tarts and a chocolate malt festooned with donuts. All served in an iced goblet coated in chocolate.

Finally if you crave a flavorful mocktail the mint and raspberry bamble was delicious, with loads of fresh mint, raspberries with a touch of lemon and Sierra Mist.

When looking for a family friendly sports bar with gourmet burgers, huge shakes, walking distance to the slopes, and even great views from their heated patio dining, then head to Draft’s Burger Bar at Canyons Village.
