Ever since we woke up with snow on the ground, our excitement for ski season’s arrival has reached its peak. Around town, Park City restaurants are also getting in the seasonal spirit by updating their menus with new items for winter. At Five5eeds, the new winter menu has many of the same classics you’ve grown to love, but shifts its focus toward hearty, yet healthy, comfort foods that will fuel your turns on the slopes.
One item that’s sure to be a hit is the new pumpkin smoothie bowl. (If it’s not on the specials the day you visit, ask for it!) It’s topped with pumpkin-spice sugar, cacao nibs, toasted coconut flakes and crisp Granny Smith apple slices. Sweet and savory, it’s a seasonal treat you won’t want to miss.
They’ve also added a few new entrées you’ll want to try. A past special — quinoa toast topped with mushrooms — has earned a permanent place on the menu. In this dish, toast is topped with mushrooms, basil hummus, truffle goat cheese and a Marsala reduction.
A roasted cauliflower salad will also debut on the menu. It’s a tasty and flavorful mix of hummus, chickpeas, baby kale, pomegranate seeds, pomegranate molasses, roasted cauliflower and a poached egg. Another new entrée is the braised lamb bowl, which features braised lamb, garbanzo beans, beets, caulilini (think cauliflower with longer stems), chimichurri sauce, fresh herbs and vegetable salad.
Just a heads up, Five5eeds has also taken a few summer-y items off the menu. You won’t find the poke or couscous bowl on the menu any longer, and the avocado toast has also gotten a seasonal upgrade. The chef has replaced the corn puree and romesco sauce with a savory beetroot hummus and dukkah spices.
As a final note, Five5eeds will be closed for renovations (they’re expanding!) from Friday, November 16 to Saturday, November 24.
