When I moved to Park City, I was surprised by the countless recommendations to try the Seafood Buffet at Deer Valley. Seafood in Utah? Sounds fishy. But one trip to the Seafood Buffet at Deer Valley and I was hooked. The fish is fresh, the menu is always changing, and it’s a unique experience at a ski resort that is always challenging misconceptions about ski resort dining. The only bad thing about the Seafood Buffet? It’s only open from 6:15 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday-Sunday, and it’s closing for the season soon. The last day it will be open is April 3, so get your reservation now.
The Zagat Restaurant Guide lists the Seafood Buffet in America’s Top Restaurants. Serving a vast array of fresh seafood including poke, chilled shellfish, hot seafood appetizers and entrées, roast duck, prime rib, vegetable specialties and fabulous desserts. Fine wines, beer and cocktails are available. And yes, it really is that fresh. The Seafood Buffet is located on the plaza level of Snow Park Lodge. The price for adults is $68 and children 12 years and younger are $34. Check out this week’s menu and try to tell me you don’t need to try this.
