I’m not a morning person. I’m not a smoothie every morning kind of person, either. I’d like to be, but I get bored. I am, however, a pot of coffee everyday person So this smoothie called to me on the morning of a busy day ahead. Why not combine my morning coffee and breakfast into one? I also had about 20 bananas waiting for me in the freezer.
I used Starbucks Via packets here because I’ve been hoarding them in our cabinets. See a trend? Your favorite instant coffee will also work, or even subbing brewed, cold coffee for the instant coffee and cream. Anything to get some caffeine!
Ingredients
- 2 packets instant coffee or 2 cups cold brewed coffee
- 2 cups almond milk
- 2 large frozen ripe bananas
- 2 tablespoons natural peanut butter
- 2 dates, pitted
- 1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons half and half
- Ice
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients and enjoy the taste of efficiency!
- Makes two smoothies.
