Mother’s Day Happenings

Now that we’ve helped you find the perfect local gift for mom, now the question is where are you taking her to eat? Park City is offering some wonderful Mother’s Day brunches as well as some special dinner menu items, and with some help from the Park City Restaurant Association, here are some great options to wow mom this year.

Powder at Waldorf Astoria

From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., enjoy an extensively delicious brunch menu at Powder that will be sure to impress any mother. Seasonal fruits, and salads, a wonderful seafood selection including poached jumbo shrimp, smoked Utah trout and west coast oysters, breakfast items including an omelet station, biscuits and gravy and cinnamon oatmeal. It doesn’t stop there. There will also be soups, entrees such as  braised beef short ribs and wild mushroom ravioli, a carving station with prime rib, pork loin, and leg of lamb, and to top it all off, an impressive assortment of pies, cakes and more! $55 for adults and $25 for children (under 4 are free).

The St. Regis Deer Valley’s J&G Grill

Join The St. Regis Deer Valley on Mother’s Day with their extravagant brunch menu. From 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., J&G Grill will be providing an exquisite Chef’s Table buffet brunch including a Niman Ranch carving station, organic eggs as you like, fresh pastas, lemon ricotta pancakes, raw bar, Niman ham benedict, selection of french pastries and more. $55 for adults, $25 for children 12 and under. Brunch: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; dinner served until 9 p.m.

501 on Main, serving delicious seasonal fare in a casual and elegant dining room in the heart of Old Town Park City, will be serving a singular chef’s brunch for Mother’s Day, plus a special menu item for dinner. Contact the restaurant for details and reservations. Brunch will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; dinner served until 9 p.m.

Cuisine Unlimited

Take-home catered buffet brunch: $40 per person

Utah’s favorite deluxe caterer is offering a great way to honor your mom this Mother’s Day. For just $40 a person, bring a deluxe brunch buffet to your home, replete with banana-pecan-stuffed brioche with Amour warm rose geranium syrup, a spinach and reggiano frittata with roasted peppers, ham and mashed potato roulade, crepe torte with smoked salmon and herbed cream cheese, asparagus bundles with orange, arugula and Jicama citrus salads, baskets of breakfast breads and jumbo-stemmed chocolate confetti strawberries.

Orders must be placed by Thursday. Pick-up will be Friday or Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. Delivery on Sunday is also available for a small fee.

Deer Valley’s Brass Tag

Deer Valley’s newest and widely-acclaimed American restaurant is serving a special item for Mother’s Day dinner. Try lightly-smoked Mary’s organic duck breast, served alongside roasted cauliflower gnocchi and a cherry reduction. This includes a side of mom’s choice, all for $42. (Dinner only)

Deer Valley Grocery Cafe

Bring home Deer Valley’s famous fare this Mother’s Day, courtesy of Deer Valley Grocery Café. In addition to the resort’s world-renowned selections, enjoy a special cracked-grain mustard-glazed salmon, served with fresh field greens and a citrus butter sauce for just $14. Mother’s Day brunch cocktails will be served (after 11:30 a.m. with a food order) including DVGC Bloody Mary ($9), St. Germain and Prosecco ($9) and mimosas with fresh squeezed juice ($8).

The Eating Establishment 

The coast comes to Utah this Mother’s Day at the Eating Establishment. Park City’s longest-running full-service restaurant will be serving savory lobster eggs Benedict for just $13.95, plus all the breakfast, brunch and lunch selections that have made Eating Establishment a locals’ and family favorite since 1972.

Glitretind at Stein Eriksen Lodge

Buffet: $55 for adults and $25 for children ages 5 to 12, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

If brunch were a French king, Glitretind would be its Versailles. Stein Eriksen’s award-winning restaurant and its famous brunch will be supercharged for Mother’s Day. Enjoy live music while savoring no fewer than two dozen gourmet items: heirloom tomato bisque, chilled watermelon gazpacho, Oscar eggs Benedict with Dungeness crab, omelets and waffles made to order, horseradish-crusted prime rib, peppercorn-dusted salmon, stuffed portabella mushrooms, salads and so much more.

The Grub Steak

Buffet: $29.75 for adults, $14.75 for children under 12

10 a.m. to 2 p.m., reservations encouraged.

Choose from dozens of delicious buffet items at this longtime Park City favorite, The Grub Steak, now celebrating its 38th year. Selections include bone-in ham with apricot glaze and roasted turkey breast; a cold buffet with basil-pesto baked salmon, shrimp and dill quiche and an antipasto platter; a hot buffet with eggs, potatoes, and other breakfast staples; breads, cheeses pastries, desserts, fresh salad and fruit, and a cereal buffet for children.

Squatters Roadhouse Grill

This relaxed microbrewery will be serving its locals-favorite breakfast menu, plus special $2 bloody mary’s, screwdrivers and mimosas. Contact Squatters for details at (435) 649-9868.

Windy Ridge Cafe

Buffet: $30 per person for adults, $10 for children 12 and under

11 a.m. to 4 p.m., reservations accepted for parties of 8 or more

Celebrate Mother’s Day at Windy Ridge Cafe, which is serving a special brunch featuring fresh seafood, prime rib, roasted turkey, omelet station, fresh baked pastries, traditional breakfast items and much more. Windy Ridge offers a wonderful alternative to Main Street dining with American comfort food, outdoor patio and attentive service.

Park Meadows Country Club Mother’s Day Brunch (members only)

Another benefit of being one of Park Meadows Country Club’s members, is the enjoyment of their award winning cuisine on Mother’s Day. From 11 a.m to 2 p.m, they will be serving a five-course brunch menu, live music by pianist Max Holm, and a $6 bloody mary and mimosa bar.

APEX at The Montage Deer Valley’s Mother’s Day Brunch

For $59 per person and $29 for adults, enjoy a wonderful brunch menu at The Montage Deer Valley’s APEX.  The menu includes soups, salads, charcuterie, chilled seafood, crepes, main courses like eggs benedict, cornflake and coconut crusted brioche french toast, and pan roasted chicken breast, carver options such as herb roasted beef tenderloin, or cedar plank salmon, and other accompaniments like scalloped potatoes, roasted brussel sprouts, or braised broccoli, and a large list of delicious desserts to choose from as well.
