Mother’s Day Happenings

What better way to show your mother you love her than with food. The Park City Area Restaurant Association helped by pulling together a list of special events for the special day. Check out the options and make your plans for Sunday!

APEX AT MONTAGE DEER VALLEY
Brunch buffet
$65 for adults, $30 for children
Apex is serving a sumptuous brunch this Mother’s Day, featuring favorite classics and new twists. Enjoy selections like eggs benedict florentine, Corn Flake-crusted brioche French toast or pan-roasted salmon, a carvery with peppercorn-crusted beef tenderloin and artisan sausage skewers, chilled seafood, four salads, roasted tomato soup, charcuterie and olives, and five mouthwatering desserts. A kid’s corner, chocolate-dipped strawberries, and cookies and pastries will also be on offer.

DEER VALLEY GROCERY~CAFÉ
Mother’s Day Special $13.75
Baked eggs with creamy leeks, baby spinach and Gruyère cheese served with glazed Niman Ranch ham and toasted housemade focaccia bread with a choice of housemade peach iced tea or peach sparking water.

GLITRETIND AT STEIN ERIKSEN LODGE
Brunch buffet, 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
$58 for adults, $25 for children ages 5-12
Glitretind’s famed Sunday brunch is serving up some sumptuous specials for Mother’s Day. Choose from more than two-dozen selections, from grilled lamb T-bone, smoked salmon eggs benedict, fennel pollen-dusted steelhead trout, mushroom-and-goat-cheese-stuffed chicken, and stuffed portabella mushrooms, to omelets and waffles made to order, sesame crusted ahi tuna, a host of salads, soups, charcuterie, cheeses, mussels, clams, and no shortage of desserts. After chowing down, relax – and enjoy the food coma – in Stein Eriksen’s world-famous spa, a perfect treat for mom. Ask about Mother’s Day specials.

POWDER AT THE WALDORF-ASTORIA
Brunch buffet, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
$59 for adults, $29 for children
Powder’s raved-about brunch buffet returns for Mother’s Day. Enjoy spinach and mushroom quiche, deviled eggs, caviar, French toast, berries and more; a raw bar with oysters, sashimi, ahi tuna and jumbo shrimp; a carving station with slow roasted prime rib and maple glazed pork loin; a range of soups, vegetables and fish; charcuterie and cheese; a bakery display with breads, danishes, donuts and croissants; and a selection of desserts from the pastry shop. There is also a local special at the spa here, so be sure to check that out as well.

RED ROCK BREWING
If casual’s your thing, Red Rock Brewing is the way to go. The restaurant won’t be serving a buffet brunch, but enjoy its locals-favorite brunch fare, plus a few special selections and $2 bloody marys and mimosas.

RIVERHORSE ON MAIN
10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Renowned Riverhorse on Main in the heart of Park City’s Historic District will over an exclusive Mother’s Day menu.  Enjoy an extensive menu of Riverhorse favorites crafted with locally-sourced ingredients including warm peach fritters, sun-dried tomato and spinach quiche, shrimp and cheddar grits, smoked salmon scramble, huevos rancheros and much more.  Sip signature cocktails like the Riverhorse Bloody Mary, Snowstorm Café and the Main Street Peach Mimosa. Cost is $65 for adults and $25 for kids.

SQUATTERS ROADHOUSE GRILL AND WASATCH BREW PUB
Drink specials, and more
Bring mom by for a brew or two at Squatter’s Roadhouse Grill and Wasatch Brew Pub. The restaurants are serving $2 Midday Marys, nooners and mimosas, plus their full brunch and regular menus, including favorites like eggs benedict, a variety of homemade omelets and more.

VERSANTE AT PARK CITY PEAKS
Brunch, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
This home for flatbread pizzas and more will be opening for brunch this Mother’s Day. Its outdoor deck will be completed, menu selections will be available, and bloody marys and mimosas will of course be on offer.
