Great news! If you’re like me and you’re one of those people who has been completely engulfed in the pocket sandwich craze of Jafflz, you’re probably running out of excuses to go out to the junction or pass by Silver Creek just to stop and get one of their delicious concoctions from the Jafflz headquarters, or to have people over to your house so that you can order enough to get them delivered. If you are still unfamiliar with Jafflz, let me familiarize you again. What do I say? They’re fantastic. Just like their motto states. They’re timely, toasty and oh so tasty. Choose your bread, choose your filling, and get ready for the best snack. Sweet fillings like s’mores or peach cobbler; savory fillings like short rib and mashed potato; South African lamb curry, chilaquiles, even macaroni and cheese, there is truly something for everyone. Okay, I’m getting to the point. We all probably know by now that Publik Coffee Roasters is no longer at The Kimball Art Center, and yes, we miss it, but what better thing to take its place than Jafflz? I can’t really think of anything. Now, more convenient than ever for us in-town dwellers, Jafflz has replaced Publik Coffee with a new pop-up shop, serving up the same delicious flavors as its original location.
If you were sad that the corner coffee spot is gone, not to worry. You can still get your local coffee fix. The Jafflz pop up is also serving local coffee roasters, Pink Elephant Coffee! Two awesome companies joining forces and taking that corner over by storm. Not in the mood for coffee? Jafflz is also serving up cold South African Roobios iced tea, or even house made veggie juices made daily. So next time you are cruisin’ main, be sure to stop and grab a coffee and a Jaffle. You’ll be hooked on both forever. All I can say is I’m so excited that two things I crave daily are now so close by to me, and you should be too.
