Park City Summer Cocktail Contest is On

Election season is in full swing, and the 4th annual Park City Summer Cocktail Contest is looking for your votes. Twenty-three bars and restaurants are vying to win the title in Park City Area Restaurant Association’s competition this year. Head on over to one of the participating bars, imbibe in their signature cocktail, then go online and vote for your favorite.

Cast ballots online between July 1-31 by visiting the PCARA website, www.parkcityrestaurants.com. One vote may be cast per email address, per day. You must be 21 to vote.

2017 Champion

Last year, Deer Valley Resort’s Bonnie Ulmer took home the top prize – and her fourth win – with her Spicy Watermelon Rosé Spritzer. The delightful pink concoction blended rosé, vodka, a spicy jalapeno watermelon mix and a splash of soda, served with a frozen rosé ice cube.

Online voting gives all PCARA members a chance to participate, driving business to each establishment and giving guests the opportunity to cast a vote,” Executive Director Ginger Ries said. “We’re eager to see how the contest unfolds, and we can’t wait to crown the winner.

For a complete list of participants, recipes, photos and current standings, go to the PCARA website. Try them all, then do your civic duty and vote for the winner. The winning cocktail and its creator will be featured in a marketing campaign following the contest leading into PCARA’s popular fall Dine About event. He or she will also walk away with $200 and, in a town with more than 30 top-notch bars and restaurants, some serious bragging rights.
