The 12th Annual Red, White and Snow

It’s that time of year again when the Red, White & Snow takes over Park City and brings the nations top vintners in support of a great cause. The National Ability Center, one of the nation’s leading community programs providing sports and recreational opportunities for individuals with disabilities, is set to host its premier, three-day Red, White & Snow event. The fundraising weekend offers a unique opportunity for culinary and wine connoisseurs, vintners and snow sports enthusiasts from across the country to mingle in an extraordinary setting, with all funds raised providing new possibilities and programs at the National Ability Center – and did we mention there will also be great wine?

Now in its 12th year, Red, White & Snow pairs the nation’s top vintners with Park City’s renowned chefs through unforgettable experiences. This year’s 2016 Honorary Vintner is Terra Valentine from California’s Napa Valley.

Serious wine connoisseurs can take part in an limited-ticket VIP hour held one hour before Uncorked for an opportunity to talk and taste with vintners one-on-one. The main Uncorked evening features tastings of over 30 vintners’ favorite wines, complemented by hors d’oeuvres and live music from Gold Standard.

Friday evening’s Vintner Dinners are a highlight of Red, White & Snow. Premier chefs and vintners craft exquisite meals with artful wine pairings in luxurious, private homes throughout Park City and the surrounding areas. During the evening, a National Ability Center participant or volunteer will visit each dinner and share their personal experience of discovering the possibilities through the center’s unique programs.

From 10:00am to noon on Saturday, March 5, the National Ability Center will host a National Ability Center Experience at the center’s ranch, where they will demonstrate current trends and guests can experience firsthand equipment used by program participants. The weekend culminates with a black tie Gala Dinner and Auction at Montage Deer Valley, emceed by Scott Wolf of Party of Five.

The Gala Dinner and Auction is an evening of culinary delights, decadent vintages and popular auction items. Seated at each table of eight will be one of the presenting vintners to share an extraordinary selection of wines. The fun continues after the Gala with the After Party in the Montage’s Vista Lounge, where guest can dance to the sounds of DJ Dolph, enjoy specialty cocktails and indulgent desserts.

“Red, White & Snow is a food and wine lover’s paradise,” said Gail Loveland, National Ability Center’s executive director. “The generous contributions of the nation’s finest vintners and Utah’s top chefs make this event possible, which unfolds a world of possibilities for individuals who benefit from more than 28,000 programs offered at the National Ability Center.”
