Reef’s Food Truck Launch

Family owned and operated restaurant on the lower half of Main, Reef’s Restaurant has become known for its unique approach to Mediterranean, European and Middle Eastern cuisine while using sustainable ingredients. The atmosphere is dripping with character, and as stated on their website, the dining experience is designed to “engage all the senses.” The food is fresh and different from anything else you can find in Park City.

Their Story

The name Reef’s comes from Reef Yoked, son of owner and chef Asi Yoked. At four months old, Reef had a dream to own a restaurant in Park City where his paternal grandparents lived, and now, at 6-years-old, Reef serves as the Chief Quality Officer of the restaurant, always being sure to taste the food to make sure quality is up to his father’s standards.

“Reef’s is the culmination of Asi’s dream and determination to establish a restaurant that offers high quality and delicious food, surrounded by an atmosphere of warm and inviting vibes. Asi grew up in Tel Aviv, Israel and it is here where Asi learned to appreciate and respect the incredibly rich cuisine of the Mediterranean. After serving in the Israeli Army, Asi moved to the United States. Living in places like Colorado and Florida, Asi developed a deep connection with nature and an understanding of the environment that has enriched his knowledge of the culinary arts. His passion for selecting the finest ingredients derives from this connection and understanding of the earth. In 2005, Asi relocated to Park

City with his wife Tali and son Reef and opened the original Reef’s Kitchen in September 2005. After great success at the original location, Asi decided to expand and move Reef’s to its current location on Main Street.” – reefsrestaurant.com

Truck Launch

Now, after much success and after having the desire to open another restaurant, Asi has decided to embark on the more mobile option of a restaurant in addition to Reef’s, a food truck! As we all know, regulations in Park City regarding food trucks are stringent especially if you don’t have insurance from somewhere similar to Lending Expert, so the truck will be bopping around Salt Lake. When it comes to starting a business in an industry like this, getting the word out about your business is the way to go, especially as it involves a product that needs to be represented visually. It wouldn’t have come as a surprise if Asi chose to get free instagram followers in order to help with creating brand awareness and credibility. The idea is to serve “Reef’s in a pita” or more on-the-go versions of fare you might find at the Park City Dining, Park City Restaurantsrestaurant. Still using fresh, sustainable ingredients paired with Asi’s skill and creativity, picture falafels, pulled short ribs, or cured Scottish salmon, all wrapped in a delicious and fluffy pita. I would like one of each please!

When: May 5th and 6th, from 11 a.m – 2 p.m

Where: The truck will be located outside of Publik Coffee Roasters Salt Lake Location

We can’t wait and we’ll see you there!
