Silver’s Paul Horner

Jump to recipe

One of the most popular drinks on Silver’s winter drink menu is the Paul Horner. The ingredient that makes this cocktail specifically unique is red bell pepper. Intrigued? Us too.

The drink was created when bar manager Jonnie Long’s creativity sparked once again, and he desired to create a cocktail that somehow used red bell pepper in the flavor profile.  During his cocktail experimentation and recipe testing, he decided to add a touch of olive oil to his red bell pepper puree, and everything just seemed to fall together perfectly. Combined with the tequila, the Luxardo and the brightness of the lemon juice, this cocktail has great layers and depth of flavor.

The name you may have heard before, and it ironically has ties to our humble little town. Paul Horner was the name given to world renowned artist Banksy when the world thought he was arrested this past fall. A worldwide story that turned out to be a big hoax, Banksy was never arrested and does not have the real name of Paul Horner, but seeing as Park City contains two pieces of his art, the mythical artist name Paul Horner is definitely an innovative name for a delicious Park City cocktail.
