The Sweetest Après — S’Mores!

Traditionally a campfire favorite, these Park City lodging purveyors have turned this simple kid-pleaser in to a decadent après treat for all ages. We couldn’t resist a tour of some of the best s’more stops in Park City to taste a unique way to cap off a day in Park City.

Over-the-top s’mores at the Montage.

Our first stop was the Montage Deer Valley. Although s’mores are generally only available to guests,  it is an over the top experience should you be lucky enough to be staying here. Located on the patio just outside the Vista Lounge, between 4:30-5:30 p.m., kids and adults alike gather round the multiple fire pits to indulge in a 5-star s’more-making experience. Grab a skewer and load up with a couple of their specially marshmallows, including flavors like vanilla, cinnamon, mocha, caramel, peppermint and classic. Even better, the marshmallows are  gluten free, and some are soy and dairy free. Traditional graham crackers are on hand, as well as squares of dark and milk chocolate to top off the sumptuous treat. Join the other s’mores revelers around one of the fire pits and roast your mallow to toasty perfection! Complimentary hot cocoa is on-hand outside, while just inside adults will find libation creations at the Vista Lounge.

Packaged perfection at Marriott Park City.

We moved our sweet tooth from the Montage to the Park City Marriott next and were treated to a super relaxed vibe inside Timbers Lounge. Both guests of the Marriott and Timbers Lounge have access to all the s’more goodness they can handle between 4:30-5:30 each evening — good news for s’more lovers. A quick stop at the front desk to grab our pre-packaged s’mores and off we headed to Timbers Bar. After a quick drink inside, we headed out to the large and newly renovated patio space, grabbed one of the cozy blankets on-hand, and gathered around the fire. The chef also prepared some chocolate-dipped marshmallows rolled in graham — they were a favorite. Grab one of their signature cocktails and enjoy a relaxed gathering around the fire.

Class s’mores by the outdoor fireplace at Waldorf.

As a last stop, we headed down valley to the Waldorf Astoria to check out their s’mores scene. Although only available to guests, the Waldorf does s’mores in style! Each night from 7:30-9:00 p.m., head down to the fireplace near their heated pool and enjoy their complimentary fire-roasted s’mores. Classic ingredients and a beautiful ambiance make for a memorable evening with family and friends! Head inside to Powder to enjoy apps or dinner after you’re done noshing on this sweet treat!

Dutch oven-style s’mores at Stein Eriksen Lodge.

As an honorable mention, we have to include Stein Eriksen Lodge’s Dutch oven-style s’mores. Guests of the five-star hotel enjoy scoops of the ooey-goey perfectly melted mess aprés at concierge. As a frequent guest of Stein Eriksen Lodge, I can tell you, this is a not-to-miss treat at the end of a long day on the slopes.
