6 Ways to Après at the Stein Eriksen Lodge

Stein Eriksen Lodge has a longstanding skiing tradition. Named after the famed Norwegian skier and Olympian, Stein Eriksen, the lodge offers a five-star luxury hotel experience — and a fantastic après scene to match.

This year, new improvements and additions have opened up even more areas to après at the lodge. Here are a few of our favorite ways to après at Stein Eriksen after hitting the slopes this season.

1. Champions Club

Stein Eriksen Champions ClubOpen to the public from noon-9 p.m. daily, this new restaurant just launched this month. The Champions Club Plaza offers two fire pits and heated walkways along with plenty of seating and views of the mountains. The restaurant serves up great lunch and après options such as pizza, burgers, barbecue wings, cheese fries and more.

Need to entertain the kids? The 3,500-square-foot entertainment center has tons of arcade and video games plus a pool table.

2. Skiers’ Buffet

Stein Eriksen Skiers BuffetWhen you’ve worked up a serious appetite, head to the award-winning Glitretind Restaurant for an over-the-top skiers’ buffet. Stein’s chefs create a daily variety of dishes, including salads, local meats and cheeses, fresh cold and hot seafood offerings, daily entrée items, rotating live carving and action stations, and an amazing selection of desserts from the in-house pastry team.

Just need a snack? Check out First Tracks Kaffe, Stein’s new slopeside coffee bar where you can grab a coffee, gourmet hot chocolate, espresso drinks and house-made pastries.

3. Troll Hallen

Stein Eriksen Troll HallenRight next to Glitretind, Troll Hallen is a casual eatery overlooking the slopes. Enjoy a drink at the bar alongside a roaring fire, and enjoy selection of ideal après dishes like Asiago cheese fries, the signature “Stein’s Burger,” Stein’s cheese fondue and Swedish meatballs.

4. New family-friendly pool

Stein Eriksen PoolAfter you eat, head to the new heated pool area that’s adjacent to the existing outdoor pool and hot tub. There’s a waterfall feature the kids will love, and it’s also adjacent to the new Champions Club so you can head indoors if it gets cold.

5. Freestyle Movie Theater

6. The Spa

If you’re really looking for a more relaxing après, we highly suggest booking an appointment to the Stein Eriksen Spa, Utah’s only five-star spa. The locker rooms offer a sauna, steam room, plus hot and cold plunge baths to help restore your sore muscles. Choose from a variety of treatments, ranging from manicures and pedicures to facials and massages, to relax and reinvigorate you from head to toe.
