Harvest Fresh Margarita

Jump to recipe

The weather has been doing its “I can’t decide ‘winter’ should be over or not” thingĀ lately and I don’t know about you, but a margarita is starting to..well, let’s be honest, margaritas haveĀ been sounding good for a while now. I think we’re all ready for a vacation and I couldn’t be more ready for warmer weather. Even though it is right around the corner, us Utahn’s are extremely familiar with the fact that any day, it can take a turn and all of the sudden be snowing again. Now, we may not have a beach with the ocean, but if you’ve been spending anytime on the slopes at one of the ‘beaches’ on the mountain, this drink is the perfect ‘winter’Ā or ‘not quite summer’Ā margarita. A bit of warmth from the spice, but with the classic margarita ingredients, it is so refreshingĀ andĀ will warm you up for summer whileĀ not getting your hopes up too much.

A margarita in the mountains wouldn’t be a margarita in the mountains without some localĀ Vida Tequila. This recipe comes from Luna Blanca Taqueria, located at the base of Cottonwood Canyon, in Holladay, Utah. Luna Blanca comes from the same owners as Trio, and specialize in tacos and tequilas!

Cheers!
