Okay folks, fa-la-la-la-la, Deer Valley Resort is opening tomorrow with eight chairlifts and 12 ski runs on three mountains. Can you even believe the amount of snow we have!? So as Mr. Miyagi says, “wax on, (wax off)” those skis and have yourself a hearty breakfast so you have plenty of energy for your first day of skiing.
Speaking of breakfast, let’s talk about the restaurants on the mountain — always an important subject!
First, if you want to start early and just do a practice drive up to Deer Valley (timing purposes for first chair), The Mariposa is open for dinner tonight. After tonight, it is open Tuesday through Sunday evenings during the winter season from 5:45 to 9 p.m. And a perk for diners Dec. 2-15, if you purchase one small plate you will receive the second one free (of equal or lesser value). As far as filling up your tummy’s tomorrow, the following restaurants will be open:
Deer Valley Grocery~Café: open daily, year-round from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The Brass Tag open daily, year-round from 3 to 10 p.m. with dinner service from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday evenings and until 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday evenings.
Snow Park: open daily from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Silver Lake Restaurant: open daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Snowshoe Tommy’s: open daily (conditions permitting) for turkey chili, sweets, espresso drinks, and hot and cold beverages from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
EBS Lounge: open daily for wine, beer, cocktails and appetizers with live music on the weekends from 2:30 to 6 p.m. **pictured below– See you at après!
All other restaurants will be open December 9, with the exception of Empire Canyon Grill and Cushing’s Cabin which will open Dec. 10.
**Also, Deer Valley will be hosting the Deer Valley Celebrity SkiFest on Birdseye ski run at noon on Saturday, December 3 and Sunday, December 4. Stop by to cheer on your favorite stars and Olympic athletes.
