It is time to escape to Churchill Downs. We love the Kentucky Derby and all of the Southern traditions that it incorporates, including the classic mint julep. The 2017 Kentucky Derby, “The Greatest Two Minutes in Sports”, will take place this today and Saturday. We suggest you celebrate the 143rd renewal of this event with a Kentucky Derby party, complete with mint juleps made with the High West Bourye!
This liquor would be a great substitution in any classic cocktail: Manhattan, Old Fashioned Old Fashioned, but especially the mint julep. Because Bourye has some hints of menthol/mint it is the perfect addition to this classic.
High West Distillery, Utah’s first legal distillery since 1870, just unveiled the latest release of Bourye, a premium original bourbon and rye blend. It is a unique, high-end specialty blend of old and rich bourbons and rye whiskies ranging from 10 to 14 years old, and is one of High West’s most cherished flavors. The latest Bourye blend will be sold nationally at exclusive locations, and in the state of Utah at High West’s General Stores in Park City and Wanship.
