Mountain Town Olive Oil, located on historic Main Street, achieved a landmark of ten years in business last week. When she first opened the store, owner and founder Jessica McCleary’s vision was to provide high-quality olive oils, vinegars and gourmet spices while offering an engaging experience by providing customers the ability to interact and try the products.
In the past decade, the business has grown from only occupying the space above Bangkok Thai, to expanding above Mary Jane’s, and then with the addition of a demo kitchen behind the store. McCleary partners with Chef Deanna Fitchat of DeeLicious Park City to host The Next Course classes. These cooking classes range from cultural cuisine to vegan cooking and even offer courses unique to local lifestyle (like what and how to prep meals for camping trips).
In addition to multiple rows of oil and vinegar dispensers, Mountain Town Olive Oil holds an impressive range of gourmet spices like “chocolate dukkah,” which contains toasted sesame seeds, toasted hazelnuts, toasted almonds, kosher salt, brown sugar, chocolate and granulated cocoa powder–great to add on yogurt or oatmeal. Over the years, McCleary expanded beyond solely carrying food merchandise and added dishes, beautiful cooking accessories and hostess gifts. And we must say, she has maintained great affordable prices for the quality!
