New Year’s Eve On The Edge

Award-winning Edge Steakhouse at Westgate Park City is known for their exceptional steaks and extensively curated wine list, not to mention their bread service is Gruyere stuffed popovers. So when their New Year’s Eve Menu was slid across my desk, I just had to share.

Let’s start with those popovers. Setting the tone for the rest of the dinner service, The Edge Steakhouse popovers immediately raise the bar. You have to experience the popovers at the restaurant, but if you continually dream of them when you are home, you can learn how to make them yourself HERE.

Elevated New Year’s Eve

Now that we have that out of the way, let’s talk about this New Year’s Eve menu. I was conflicted, reading them, wondering if I could order off the kids menu, but add on the wine pairing. Here’s a snippet of what I saw today, and if this whets your appetite, you need to make reservations immediately.

Amuse-Bouche

Poached Mapleque Oysters or Fliet Mignon Carpaccio

Starter

Hudson Valley Foie Gras or Diver Scallops or Beets & Pistacio

Appetizer

Texas Farms Quail or Lobster Agnolotti

Intermezzo of blood orange sorbet

Entrée

Niman Ranch New York Strip or Sous Vide Halibut or Vegetable Wellington

Dessert

Cheese Board or Red Wine Poached Pear En Croute

Finale of house-made milk chocolate truffle, goat cheese and caramel

Yes, you counted right, that’s seven delectable courses for $150 per person. And, there is the option to add 3oz of purebred Japanese Miyachiko Wagyu A5 New York Strip or 5 grams of French Péigord black truffles to the above selections.

For the Young Foodie

The kids menu is just as decadent. Seven courses including mac & cheese, Wagyu corn dog, Mary’s chicken nuggets and a warm Valrhona chocolate brownie, to name just a few. And of course, the kids get the bread service too!

Let’s Talk About Wine

Edge Steakhouse sommelier Matthew Sasaki pulled out all the stops for the New Year’s Eve wine pairings. Boasting labels from Schramsberg, Veuve Cliquot, Dr. Loosen, JJ Prum Graacher, Irony, Maison Louis Latour, Johndrow, Jordan, Cakebread and finishing with ports from Taylor Flagate and Dow’s, you don’t even have to THINK about a wine choice for dinner.

You can add the wine pairing to the New Year’s menu for $95 (3oz pairings)

Edge is known for their extensive wine cellar and the knowledge of Sasaki will leave your mind at ease so you can think of other things, like how to get some more of those popovers to take home.

I highly recommend ringing in the New Year with Edge Steakhouse this Sunday evening. For reservations and more information:
