Park City Christmas Dinner Specials

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! And, it’s also a wonderful time to dine out. Here are Christmas Eve and Christmas Day specials around town if you’d rather spend your holiday on the slopes and leave the cooking to someone else!

 

THE EATING ESTABLISHMENT

Christmas: lunch for $15.95, dinner for $22.95.

The Eating Establishment, Park City’s longest-running full-service restaurant, will be serving special Christmas menus. Christmas lunch features turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy and vegetables. Dinner comes with a side salad or The Eating Establishment’s signature, homemade New England Clam Chowder.  For vegetarians, homemade wild-mushroom ravioli will be available.

Christmas lunch runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dinner will be served from 5 – 10 p.m.

 

THE BRASS TAG

Christmas Special prix-fixe dinner: $38 per person

The Brass Tag serves Deer Valley-inspired brick-oven cuisine at the Lodges at Deer Valley. For Christmas, enjoy a prix-fixe dinner for two including oven-braised Niman Ranch lamb shank, served with bacon Brussels sprouts, roasted red pepper ragu, smoked Gouda polenta and merlot au jus. 

 

HYATT ESCALA LODGE

Christmas Dinner: $87 buffet for adults, $25 for children ages 2 to 12

This lively ski-in/ski-out bar and restaurant is serving a sumptuous Christmas dinner featuring traditional fare, modern comfort food, local selections and other delights. Enjoy roast chestnut bisque, littleneck clam chowder, and Red Bicycle baguettes; a carving station with Niman Ranch prime rib, cider-brined turkey and garlic-roasted bone-in leg of lamb; sides like parmesan-whipped potatoes, brown sugar sweet potatoes and roasted vegetables; plus four salads, mini pastries, a decorate-your-own cookie station, and a “Young at Heart” station with pizza, turkey fingers” macaroni and cheese and other childhood staples. Dinner is being served between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m.

 

STEIN ERIKSEN LODGE

Ring in the season at Deer Valley’s famed Stein Eriksen. The Christmas celebrations kick-off with the Lodge’s annual tree-lighting ceremony and the big reveal of its gingerbread masterpieces. This year, the dazzling display features Charlie Brown, Snoopy and the rest of the “Peanuts” gang, made from 400 pounds of gingerbread, 300 pounds of sugar and 30 pounds of fondant. Santa Claus will also be paying a visit to the lodge, with complimentary photos available for all ages in front of the Christmas tree.

Christmas Eve: There will be two seating’s with a special prix fixe holiday menu available in the Glitretind. The first seating begins between 5:30 and 6 p.m. ($145 adults, $30 for the kids’ menu). The second seating begins between 7:30 and 8 p.m. ($160 for adults, $30 for the kids’ menu). Entertainers will perform from 6 to 9 p.m.

Christmas Day: Dig into Stein’s famed Christmas buffet as carolers sing throughout the day. Reservations will be available between 11 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. ($79 for adults, $30 for children ages 5 to 12).

Christmas Night: Stein’s special Christmas Night buffet is 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. ($85 for adults, $35 for children ages 5 to 12).

 

TUPELO

Christmas Eve: $105 five-course prix fixe, $55 for children ages 5 to 12.Vegetarian menu available (must be reserved in advance)

Enjoy globally-inspired fine dining with Tupelo, whose menu honors artisanal ingredients and food terroir. On Christmas Eve, enjoy five gourmet courses, starting with seared Maine scallops with golden squash, toasted pumpkin and benne seeds, then house-made pappardelle, braised rabbit, fried creminelli ham and crispy Brussels sprouts. Next, enjoy roasted duck breast, pan-roasted elk and a dessert of sticky toffee pudding.

Christmas Day: $105 five-course prix fixe, $55 for children ages 5 to 12. Vegetarian menu available (must be reserved in advance)

This Christmas Day menu starts with Maine crab fritters with hot sauce butter, sweet and sour okra, and Aleppo chile, then a potato-ricotta ravioli with braisd pork, mint, farm egg and pickled greens. Then dig into roasted Maine scallops, wagyu strip, and warm whiskey apple cake with egg nog ice cream for dessert.

 

WALDORF ASTORIA AT THE CANYONS VILLAGE

Christmas Eve: $59 four-course prix fixe, children’s menu available

Powder’s Christmas Eve dinner starts with spiced winter squash soup, followed by baby beet salad, then a choice of New York strip loin, grass-fed beef tenderloin, pan-seared Utah trout or pumpkin ravioli. For dessert, tuck into Waldorf red velvet cake with chocolate ganache, cream cheese frosting and raspberries. Dinner will be served from 5 to 10 p.m.

Christmas Day: $69 buffet for adults, $25 for children ages 3 to 11:
Give your stomach the gift of Powder’s Christmas buffet this holiday season. Enjoy breakfast staples like eggs with potatoes, bacon, chorizo hash and more; a range of fruits, cheeses, salads and soups; seafood like smoked Utah trout, West Coast oysters, smoked salmon and poached jumbo prawns; baked pies, cakes, pastries and cookies; and traditional items like candied yams, Yukon Gold mashed potatoes, roasted root vegetables and sautéed Brussels sprouts. A carving station will be serving grass-fed prime rib, roasted turkey and rosemary and garlic-crusted leg of lamb, and entrées of Kurobuta pork loin and miso-glazed sea bass will also be on offer.
