The Fourth of July is when Park City officially kicks off summer. If this is your first 4th in town, get ready because this town knows how to get festive! And if you’re used to the chaos of all the red, white and blue of this holiday then you know what we’re talking about. Plenty of things to do for the holiday and we’re here to help guide you on where to go.

July 3rd: The Canyons Village

Enjoy free live musical performances by DJ Velvet, followed by Salt Lake City band The Number Ones at The Canyons Village.  Join in for family activities and a marvelous fireworks show to kick off your family’s Independence Day celebration.

4 p.m.: Canyons Village bars open. Beer, wine and spirits will be available for purchase, and can be consumed freely throughout the village.

5 p.m.: Live music by DJ Velvet, yard games, chalk art and face painting. Come enjoy the complimentary family events to kick off the holiday.

7:30 p.m.: Live music by The Number Ones.

Dusk:  3rd of July fireworks.

July 4th

7 a.m.: Griddled pancakes in City Park. $7 a person and $5 for kids.

8 a.m.: Cole Sport 5k Mountain Fun Run. You can pre-register until 5 p.m. July 3. Participants are encouraged to pre-register to avoid the crowds on race day and take advantage of a cheaper price. They can do so by visiting here.

11 a.m.: The parade kicks off on Main Street from top to bottom. Following the parade, Park City Mountain Village will have food, music and fireworks.

Noon-4:30 p.m.: Celebration in City Park with food, live music, beer garden, games and children’s activities.

Park City Mountain Village

3 p.m.: Complimentary and family-friendly village activities in the Park City Mountain Village, including live music by DJ Velvet on the stage. Mountain BBQ also starts at 3 p.m.

5 p.m.: Live music by Insatiable.

7:30 p.m.: Live music by Soulistics.

Dusk: 4th of July fireworks show.

Stein Eriksen Lodge in Deer Valley

Stein Eriksen Lodge will ring in Independence Day with an all-American BBQ. Featuring classic staples, as well as original dishes from Chef Zane Holmquist and his team, guests are invited to join the afternoon outdoor festivities on Thursday, July 4 located on the Glitretind Deck from 5–8 p.m.

The lavish spread includes Stein Eriksen Lodge’s elevated twist on summer classics like a watermelon carving station, spicy shrimp and jicama slaw, grilled peach and pancetta salad, pigtail pasta mac and cheese, barbecue beans with pulled pork, Chef Lupe’s famous roasted pork ribs, buffalo brisket, chile-beer marinated Snake River Farms tri-tips, Utah lamb T-bones, and so much more. Save room for the sweets and choose from an abundant array of house-made desserts like cast iron skillet apple brown betty, strawberry rhubarb shortcakes and milk chocolate glazed banana Bundt cake, just to name a few.

The 4th of July BBQ is $58.00 for adults and $25.00 children for children ages 5-12. The event is expected to sell out so advance reservations are highly recommended by calling Glitretind at (435) 645-6455. Consider adding an overnight stay and take advantage of their current summer specials and packages.

The Corner Restaurant in Midway

BBQ, lawn games and live music featuring Morgan and McCume starts at 3 p.m. and goes until 8 p.m. Food options include an $8 hotdog and brat bar, $10 burger bar and $4 root beer floats. For more information, call the restaurant at (435) 657-5494.
