Resort Dining Spotlight: Woodward Park City

You may think of Woodward Park City as a ski resort, and ski lessons are offered to all ages, but it is also so much more… You can ski or snowboard down the mountain to your heart’s content, even at night! The legendary tubing hill is arguably the longest in the world. There is an impressive skateboarding and parkour “indoor hub,” and children’s camps are offered in both summer and winter.

The Hive Cafeteria is the go-to spot for classics like burgers and fries, tomato soup with grilled cheese and a killer buffalo chicken sandwich. You can also find unique entrees with their Tex-Mex selection of dishes including the Santa Fe Superpipe Fat Burrito and fried fish or smoked pork tacos. The Grind Cafe serves up everything you might need in a day from coffee and breakfast, to shareable munchie and small bites, to a curated selection of beer, wine and cocktails.

Hearth + Hill

For a healthy, whole foods option, Hearth + Hill in the Newpark area adjacent to Kimball Junction is the perfect refuge après ski. The favorite gathering place is listed year after year on the Best Of Park City roster. The Refuel Bowl is a satisfying and light choice. Don’t miss the freshly baked cheddar biscuits with honey butter, beer battered cauliflower, ramen bowl and chicken pot pie. The extensive menu has icons to easily identify vegan or gluten-free options, and there is a fantastic children’s menu (ideal for après tubing!). You will be warmed to your core after a cozy meal at Hearth + Hill.

Vessel Kitchen

A fast casual but high-quality dining outlet in Kimball Junction, Vessel Kitchen offers guests their choice of protein with two sides for a customized comfort-food experience. Try falafel, steelhead trout, roasted chicken breast or pulled pork with sweet potato hash, coconut rice and quinoa or roasted Brussels sprouts. There are also tacos, salads and signature bowls, if you’d like to leave the thinking to them.

Big Daddy’s Pizza

For an extra hungry crowd after a day on the slopes, Big Daddy’s Pizzeria serves up wood-fired pies at 12, 14, 16, 18 and even an extra-gigantic 26-inch sizes! Fantastic combinations include Hawaiian, buffalo or Alfredo chicken, six cheese or the aptly-named Coronary, loaded with pepperoni, Italian sausage, ham, beef and bacon. There are also cheddar chive tots, garden salad, mac and cheese bites and cinnamon bread for dessert.

Billy Blanco’s

Billy Blanco’s is a short drive from the Woodward facilities, and offers a delightful mix of Mexican and American cuisine. Entrée options – such as tacos, fajitas, burritos, barbeque and burgers – are offered with your choice of sides, including rice and beans, mashed potatoes and gravy, tots or coleslaw. The lengthy beverage list includes horchata, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic margaritas, beer, wines and spirits. The astounding automotive-themed décor features whole automobiles and motorcycles. The group dining space was originally designed as a private collectors’ garage, and there is a catering menu that is well-suited for dining in or taking to-go. Whether you are dining with your ski buddies, your family or your co-workers, Billy Blanco’s is a lot of fun!
