Riverhorse On Main Earns 2016 Forbes Four-Star Rating

For 18 years standing, Riverhorse On Main has been recognized among an elite list of restaurants in the nation as a Four-Star award winner from Forbes Travel Guide. For more than 50 years, Forbes Travel Guide has established the benchmark for excellence in global hospitality with its awards. Well known as Park City’s culinary gem by locals, visitors and food critics alike, Riverhorse On Main adds the 2016 Forbes distinction to its long list of honors. Riverhorse On Main has been a recipient of the prestigious DiRōNA Award since 1995 and also a time-honored AAA Four Diamond award winner.

“The Forbes Travel Guide Award is a global benchmark for excellence in dining,” said Seth Adams, executive chef and co-owner of Riverhorse On Main. “My entire team and I are dedicated to providing a dining experience that delights and surprises our guests each day. I’m proud that our menu, ambiance, and, of course, the food itself translated so well among the 500 criteria points used to qualify for the distinction.”

For more than a decade, Chef Adams has developed a menu with extraordinary depth and character. By utilizing only the freshest ingredients and sourcing locally as much as possible, Chef Adams created a style at Riverhorse that became the benchmark for the ‘New American’ cuisine movement in Utah. Forbes highlights Riverhorse On Main’s rustic yet modern atmosphere, spectacular location and its menu’s subtle versatility and array of meal options, such as crispy duck salad, macadamia-crusted halibut, grilled lobster tail and charred rack of lamb. The restaurant’s massive wine list, that changes seasonally, also plays an integral role in Riverhorse On Main’s highly regarded award standing.

Forbes has stated, “With the trendy, urban vibe at the Riverhorse On Main, you may forget you’re in Park City, Utah. … This hotspot features dishes like bacon-wrapped shrimp, chardonnay-poached scallops and lobster tail, and a trio of wild game, which includes North American buffalo, elk and venison chop. Polish it all off with a bottle of wine from the restaurant’s extensive collection that has everything from your classic California reds to some local Utah selections. … Right near, you’ll find independent boutiques, spas and an exciting nightlife all within walking distance … and with the peacefulness of the mountains and picturesque views, you’ll get the best of both worlds.”

Since 1958, Forbes’ professional inspectors have traveled the world to find the finest hotels, restaurants and spas, spotlighting each property’s best attributes through its Five-Star, Four-Star and Recommended ratings. While many companies use stars to rate properties, none evaluate the hundreds of standards at each property as extensively as Forbes Travel Guide. A Four-Star restaurant provides great service, distinctive presentations and wonderful food. Riverhorse On Main is just one of 149 restaurants to earn the award for 2016 and one of only five in Utah.
