Sunday Special: Homemade Cinnamon Rolls at Hearth and Hill

For all you cinnamon roll lovers out there, we’ve got a sweet special that you won’t want to miss. Every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Hearth and Hill serves up fresh homemade cinnamon rolls with brown butter frosting for $6. And this is not your average cinnamon roll, just look at the size of these things!

They have been on the menu since Easter weekend of 2019, about four or five months after opening the restaurant. By the end of the first winter season they were a hit. It’s a pretty classic item that complements the menu really well. We sell out every Sunday by early afternoon.

Hearth and Hill Pastry Chef Jessie Rae Nakoneczny has made 2,065 cinnamon rolls since the restaurant opened in late 2018. Nakoneczny bakes about 30 fresh cinnamon rolls every Sunday, and they have become one of the most popular pastry items offered at Hearth and Hill.

They are very good for sharing. I haven’t seen very many individuals finish one off by themselves. People really like the frosting and how ooey-gooey it is. And it’s a pretty insane deal for how amazing they are.

The secret ingredient to create this popular sweet treat, mashed potatoes. In fact, Hearth and Hill has used over 600 pounds of potatoes and over 630 eggs, to date, to make its cinnamon rolls.
