Sweets & Cheese: A Park City Gem Redefining the Art of Gathering

In Park City, where snow-dusted peaks rise above lively après-ski patios, one small business is making a big impact on how people connect over food. Sweets & Cheese has become a local favorite by transforming grazing into an art form, blending tradition, creativity and community spirit.

From Family Tradition to Park City Staple

Founder Angela Moschetta launched Sweets & Cheese in 2017, inspired by her Italian upbringing. She grew up watching her parents effortlessly pull together spreads of cheeses, cured meats, olives and cakes whenever company stopped by. For her family, grazing wasn’t just eating — it was connecting.

When Moschetta recreated these spreads for friends after a day on the slopes, she realized Park City was hungry for something similar. What started as cheese boards quickly evolved into a business that celebrates abundance, flavor and the joy of gathering.

Signature Offerings: Cheese, Cakes and More

Today, Sweets & Cheese is best known for three signature offerings:

  • Show-stopping charcuterie and grazing boards
  • Elegant, all-natural cakes often adorned with fresh flowers
  • Baked goods crafted without seed oils, available wholesale or at The Market at Park City

Each creation reflects Moschetta’s commitment to quality and artistry. No two grazing boards are ever alike, and customers love the surprise of new flavors, colors and textures layered together in harmony.

A New Home Inside The Market

The opening of a retail kiosk inside The Market at Park City has expanded the dream even further. Shoppers can now stop in for pizza al taglio, Italian deli sandwiches stacked on house-made focaccia or hearty quiches with buttery crusts. Salads with vibrant dressings and pastries that practically beg for a cappuccino round out the offerings.

For busy locals, the grab-and-go case is a lifesaver. Mini cakes, savory quiches, fresh sides and salads make dinner both easy and delicious. As Moschetta explains, “We are feeding Park City’s workforce an affordable lunch every day and setting them up for a home-cooked meal in the evening.”

Ingredients That Tell a Story

Quality ingredients are the heartbeat of Sweets & Cheese. Utah farms provide produce during their short but sweet growing season, while specialty meats and cheeses arrive from artisans across the country — Olympia Provisions in Portland, Salumeria Bialesse in New York, Smoking Goose in Indianapolis.

European cheeses, despite steep tariffs, still make the journey to Utah, because nothing less than excellence will do. The boards are then finished with fruit, nuts and seasonal surprises, turning each spread into a masterpiece of flavor and color.

Grazing for Everyone

One of the reasons Sweets & Cheese has become so beloved is its inclusivity. Grazing boards naturally welcome every diet and preference: vegetarians, vegans, keto followers and omnivores can all find something to enjoy without compromise.

The variety also makes them festive. Whether it’s a holiday celebration, a birthday or an après-ski party, these boards invite everyone to taste, nibble and discover something new together.

Accessible Luxury in Park City

Though the spreads look like art, Moschetta insists they’re designed to be approachable. Customers can order during the week and pick up a board while shopping at The Market or the liquor store. Weekends require just a day’s notice.

Every board is unique, reflecting both the season and the playful creativity of the team. “It’s a little art therapy every time,” Moschetta says, noting that the joy of presentation is part of the experience.

Food That Connects

From humble beginnings to community favorite, Sweets & Cheese has grown into a Park City treasure. Whether you’re indulging in a flower-topped cake, grabbing a sandwich between meetings or surprising friends with a grazing board, this business serves more than food. It serves connection.

At its heart, Sweets & Cheese is a reminder that food is meant to be abundant, beautiful and best when shared.

In full rebellion against the unpredictable climate of the Rocky Mountains, you can find Melissa on her Teton Valley deck grilling any month of the year. Typically in flip flops. Snow, rain, wind… no weather is too fierce. She’s a lover of peaches in any form, has a borderline addiction to arugula, and (strangely) has been known to drizzle soy sauce on pizza. But even more than she loves her stand mixer and cast iron collection, she adores cooking for her husband and two kids. When this Jackson Hole native isn’t scurrying around her messy kitchen, she’s probably outside floating the river, hiking, camping, fishing, or, well… grilling.
