PARK CITY MOUNTAIN

Spring Events

22nd Annual Pond Skimming Competition: Saturday, April 7
It’s one of our favorite times of the year – pond skimming!  Head on up to Red Pine Lodge for Spring Gruv’s grand finale, the annual competition. Contestants must dress in costume (the funkier the better) as they attempt to cross a 100-foot pond on skis or a snowboard. Awards will be given out by a panel of judges for best costume, best splash and crash and overall best male and female contestant. The pond is located at the top of the Red Pine Gondola just outside of Red Pine Lodge.

Closing Day: Sunday, April 8
Park City Mountain will officially wrap up the 2017-18 ski season on April 8 with closing day concerts at both the Park City Mountain Village and Canyons Village. DEER VALLEY

Brass Tag

If you haven’t been to the Brass Tag at the base of Deer Valley, you are really missing out!  Tucked away in the Lodges at Deer Valley and open year-round, they have amazing brick oven cuisine in a comfortable and casual environment that is great for the whole family.

What we love:
It is hard to not try their amazing oven fired chimichurri chips with Gold Creek Farms cheddar, gruyère, bacon and scallions.  Another great snack for post-ski is their oven baked chicken wings with housemade buffalo or bourbon glaze and Gold Creek Farms blue cheese aioli.  Also don’t miss their pizzas, like their creminelli calabrese sausage.  Pair it with great cocktails, like their Alida with local Antelope Island silver rum and Alpine Distilling Preserve liqueur.

When:  Bar: 3-10 p.m., daily | Dinner: 5:30-9 p.m., Sunday – Thursday and
5:30-10 p.m., Friday – Saturday
Where: Lodges at Deer Valley – base area, 2900 Deer Valley Drive East

MAIN STREET

The Bridge

This popular spot right next to the Town Lift on Main Street is the perfect location to slide in right off of the slopes for a delicious meal and cocktails. The Bridge Cafe  serves American food, but with a unique Brazilian flair. The Bridge also serves breakfast all day, which is perfect when you are craving breakfast after a day on the slopes. Check out some of our favorites below!

What we love:
Their Brazilian Coxinhas are delicious.  They are seven delicious balls of chicken salad that have been shaped into a drumstick, potato battered and fried and served with aioli.  Also, don’t miss our other Brazilian favorite- the Caipirinha. It is Brazil’s national cocktail, made with cachaça, sugar and lime. Cachaça, also known as pinga or caninha, is Brazil’s most common distilled alcoholic beverage and makes up the essence of the drink.

When: daily at 8 a.m.-8 p.m. (9 p.m. Friday and Saturday)
Where: 825 Main Street, Suite 201 upper deck, next to the Town Lift

UNEXPECTED APRES

This little gem is perfectly placed in the middle of town, convenient to everything.  They have delicious fresh seafood that is transformed into many great creations. They also carry organic steaks and one of the most extensive wine lists and cocktail menus.Their famous ‘Happiest of Hours’ menu is back from 5-6 p.m., seven days in the bar areas only.

What we love:
You had me at baked lobster!  Their Maine lobster tail is tempura battered and baked, then finished with spicy aioli, eel sauce, tobiko, scallions and sesame seeds.  And if that isn’t enough, try their soft shell crab, their oysters or their sushi, it is all delicious!
