Want to eat healthy, nutrient-dense and flavorful gluten-free meals in Heber City? Swing by the café at Mountain Wellness Bar for a chocolate chia seed pudding, a smoothie or a hummus and veggie snack box. Mountain Meals also offers meal delivery service, so you can stay on track during the work week without investing a lot of time in shopping and meal prep: just place your order by 11 p.m. on Sunday, then receive your goodies on Tuesday! Whether you are looking for a delicious, gluten-free way to shift into cleaner eating in the New year or you just want to have a healthier option, Guest Haus is the place to fuel up. In addition to cold-pressed juices and smoothies, Guest Haus offers house-made nut milks (a great choice if you are going the gluten-free and dairy-free route), matcha, salads, and superfood bowls. This spot is great if you are looking to be gluten-free or not!

But What About Pizza, Burgers and Shared Plates?

Don’t worry, these hearty comfort foods are not off limits. At Este Pizza, each of their specialty pies can be made with a gluten-free crust. Try the white pizza with ricotta cheese, olive oil, garlic and oregano (it’s also vegetarian), lasagna pizza with house-made marinara sauce, meatballs and mozzarella cheese or The Ol’ Vortman with (just about everything!) pepperoni, ham, sausage, spinach, tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms, olives and even broccoli.

For a fine dining experience, 350 Main Brasserie offers a variety of dishes from their regular menu that are naturally gluten-free. Good choices for appetizers include the crispy cauliflower with preserved lemon, the roasted red beets with candied pistachios and peppadews (peppers) or the white wine-brined crispy pork belly confit. Follow with the organic greens with Point Reyes blue cheese, and then choose entrees like the herb-rubbed rare tuna with lavender-saffron vinaigrette or crispy, gluten-free fried chicken with braised baby kale. End with some shareable gluten-free desserts, like the raspberry sorbet or fresh berries and cream.

Wasatch Brewpub provides gluten-free Udi’s buns for any of their burgers: The Wasatch is a buffalo burger with cajun remoulade; There is also a turkey mushroom burger (that can be gluten-free) and a classic burger to which cheese, bacon, avocado, a fried egg or sautéed mushrooms can be added. Pizzas are also offered with a gluten-free crust option, and their creative choices include a fig pizza with pesto, goat cheese, caramelized onions and arugula or carne asada with chimichurri!
