First You Ski, Then You Super Bowl…

The most exciting, un-official holiday is just around the corner. If you’re in Park City, Super Bowl Sunday is even more fun because it falls right in the middle of ski season. Why not take advantage of the highly-requested sick day, the Monday after the Super Bowl, and enjoy all that Super Bowl Sunday has to offer? Edgar’s in Deer Valley is one of the best spots to watch Super Bowl Sunday.

Arriving and Skiing

Make the most of your day by first skiing Deer Valley. If you’re an Ikon pass holder, make sure you log in to reserve your Deer Valley day early, as the calendar has been filling up. Plan to arrive early, as parking and traffic in that direction can also get backed up fairly quick.

Deer Valley days are an experience, make sure you make time to stop at all the good eats on the Mountain!

Pick Your Trails

Once you get yourself on the Sterling or Carpenter lifts, you’re on your way to a fabulous day of groomed terrain. With all the new terrain that opened up, your opportunities to explore are endless. Head toward the classic Empire Pass for epic Red Cloud or Lady Morgan trails. Or, take a chance on the East Village trails, expanded excellence as locals call it. Either way, you’re in for a treat.

Stop and Re-Fuel

Surely, you’ll need to stop and eat. That’s where Edgar’s comes in… Located in Snow Park Lodge, this aprés ski sports bar has quickly becoming a favorite to watch any and all sporting events. Did you know the eatery and drinkery was named after Edgar Stern, the visionary founder of Deer Valley? This bar is a tribute to the legends who have shaped Utah Mountains. It even includes someone you may have heard of: Stein Eriksen.

Wings are a must at Edgar’s and on Super Bowl Sunday!

Make sure you order the classics: wings, nachos and french fries. After a long day of skiing, you need to refuel with carbs and protein. If you plan your day perfectly, you’ll end up at Edgar’s just in time for the Super Bowl to kick-off at 4:30 MST. Bring your children (they’re welcome), enjoy a specialty cocktail or favorite beer and sit back for the big game! And don’t forget to call in “sick” tomorrow.
