While ski season is starting to wind down, the culinary team at St. Regis Deer Valley still has a few surprises in store. The team is preparing for a “culinary takeover” at the end of March that will pair world-renowned chefs with the talented local culinary team.
Iron Chef Geoffrey Zakarian and Sandwich King Chef Jeff Mauro will soon head to Park City for three nights of culinary collaboration with St. Regis’ Chef de Cuisine Larry Abrams, La Stellina Chef de Cuisine Josephine Hansen and Executive Sous Chef Jason Lahrman for three exquisite evenings.

Food Network fans will recognize Chef Geoffrey Zakarian from The Kitchen, Chopped, Iron Chef America and Big Restaurant Bet. He has owned several New York restaurants and has a line of gourmet foods and cookware, and he has served as chair of the Food Council for City Harvest for 15 years.
Chicago native Jeff Mauro landed his Emmy-nominated series The Sandwich King after winning Season 7 of Food Network Star. In addition to co-hosting several Food Network shows, Chef Mauro also founded and runs Mauro Provisions, a line of giardiniera, sauces, craft rubs and sandwich kits.
On Wednesday, March 26, Chef Mauro and La Stellina’s chef de cuisine will team up to present a Takeover Tasting and a la carte menu. Featuring the fresh, locally sourced ingredients that guests have come to expect from La Stellina, paired with wines by Marchesi Antinori.

Thursday, March 27 brings Chef Zakarian and RIME’s chef de cuisine together for a tasting and a la carte menu at RIME, with a focus on the “Best Cuisine of Land and Sea.” RIME is well-known locally for fresh seafood that is flown in daily, which the tasting menu will reflect. The featured wines will be from Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars.
The series will conclude on Friday, March 28 with a reception and six-course dinner in the RIME wine vault. Each course will showcase the talents of individual chefs, with wine pairings by Donelan Winery. The one-hour reception begins at 5:30, and the $500 ticket includes a gift bag from Perfect Moment Luxury Ski Wear.

Reservations are required and can be made at SRDVdining.com or by calling 435-940-5700.
