Sundance Survival Guide to Dining

Movie premieres, star gazing, it’s an exhaustive sport. Luckily, when Sundance 2018 rolls into town on January 18th you can still refuel before your next film or ski run. Below is a quick guide to restaurants in town that will be staying open to the public during Sundance. Click on their links for more information.

APRES SKI

The majority of visitors in town over Sundance are here for the movies, not the snow. So take some time to enjoy the short lift lines and aprés appropriately.

Baja Cantina: Located at Park City Base, locals get 10% off plus $3.75 margaritas every day of Sundance.

The Brass Tag at Deer Valley: Located at the base of Deer Valley in The Lodges, artfully crafted cocktails and casual “off Main” dining with Deer Valley flair.

First Tracks Kaffe at Stein Eriksen Lodge: Perk up with house blend coffee drinks and grab and go bites.

Royal Street Cafe: American and International Cuisine at Silver Lake Lodge with sit-down service from 11:30 a.m.-8 p.m.

The Bridge Cafe: Located at the base of Town Lift, refuel mid-day with their hearty Brazilian-American menu items including a full bar.

Butcher’s Chop House: Located at the Town Lift, opening one hour earlier and staying open one hour later through Sundance, serving lunch and dinner from 11 a.m.-1 a.m.

RESTAURANTS WITH REGULAR SERVICE

We recommend calling or checking availability online, but the following restaurants are service as usual with some exceptions.

Cena at The Chateaux Deer Valley: Located at Chateaux Deer Valley.

  • Breakfast Buffet: 7-10:30 a.m.
  • Lunch: 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m.
  • Après-Ski: 3-5:30 p.m.
  • Dinner: 5-10 p.m.
  • Lounge: 5:30-10 p.m.

Deer Valley Grocery~Café: Located at Deer Valley Plaza. Open 7:30 a.m.-7 p.m. daily

Deer Valley Resort Restaurants:  Including Fireside Dining, Seafood Buffet, The Mariposa, Royal Street Café and Seafood Buffet. See website for hours and availability.

 Flying Sumo: Located at the base of Town Lift. Open daily at 5:30 p.m.

Fuego Pizzeria: Located in Prospector Square. Mon-Sat 11:15 a.m.-10 p.m., Sunday, 5-10 p.m.

Glitretind at Stein Eriksen Lodge: Located at Stein Eriksen Lodge, Deer Valley. See website for hours.

Goldener Hirsch Restaurant: Located at Silver Lake Village, Deer Valley. See website for hours.

Grub Steak Restaurant: Located in Prospector Square. Lunch Mon-Fri 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m., Dinner nightly at 5 p.m. Live music Friday and Saturday.

No Name Saloon: Located at 447 Main Street. Open 10 a.m.-2 a.m. every day.

Old Town Cellars: Located at 890 Main Street. Monday through Thursday 3-10 p.m., Friday and Saturday 3-11 p.m. Sunday 12-6 p.m. Ask about local specials.

Purple Sage: Located at 434 Main Street. Main dining room open with regular menu nightly at 5:30 p.m.

Red Rock Junction: Located at Redstone Center, Kimball Junction. Monday – Thursday: 11 a.m.-10 p.m., Friday – Saturday: 11 a.m.-11 p.m., Sunday: 10 a.m.-10 p.m.

Squatters Roadhouse Grill: Located at 1900 Park Avenue. Sunday through Thursday 8 a.m.-10 p.m., Friday 8 a.m.-11 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m.-11 p.m.

Shabu: Located at 442 Main Street. Open daily, 5-10 p.m.

Troll Hallen at Stein Eriksen Lodge: Located at Stein Eriksen Lodge. See website for hours.

Tupelo: Located at 508 Main Street. Call for reservations.

Versante Hearth + Bar: Located in the Peaks Hotel. Breakfast: 7 a.m.-Noon, dinner: 4-10 p.m., late night menu: 10 p.m.-Midnight

Wasatch Brew Pub: Located at  25 Main Street,  Monday – Friday 11 a.m.-10 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m.-10 p.m., weekend brunch 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Wine Cellar at Stein Eriksen Lodge: Located in Stein Eriksen Lodge. See website for hours.

Yuki Yama Sushi: Located at 586 Main Street, open daily, lunch from 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m., dinner from 5-9:30 p.m.
