Meatless Mondays- Golden Milk

Jump to recipe

Welcome back to Meatless Mondays, where we focus on not only “meat-free” items in Park City and trends, but also things that are generally healthy for you.  It seems as though Turmeric is popping up everywhere as the new “magical” remedy.  Turmeric, an Indian spice, has been claimed to have health benefits capable of anti-inflammation for everything from aches to arthritis, glowing skin, boosted immunity, improved digestion, and even a cure for depression and cancer.  We wanted to share with you one of the most enjoyable ways to consume turmeric, in the form of a turmeric latte, or “golden milk.”

Turmeric in its powdered form can be added to most things.  It is commonly added into most Indian food, with a mild, mellow and earthy flavor.  In a turmeric latte or Golden Milk, it is infused into warm milk, making it taste sweet and zingy.  It can be enjoyed in the winter time on a blustery day, or you can even make it into a milkshake for a cold solution.
