If you’ve got leftover champagne from the holidays and want revenge on your New Year’s celebration, or simply just need a reason to celebrate surviving the month of January, here are some creative ways to use up your bubbles.
French 75
- 2 ounces gin
- 1/2 ounce lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon sugar (optional, personal preference)
- 5 ounces champagne
- Lemon peel, for garnish
Combine the gin, lemon juice and optional sugar in a shaker with ice. Pour into a champagne flute and top with champagne, garnish with a lemon peel and enjoy this zesty beverage!
Holiday Spritz
- 3 ounces champagne
- 2 ounces Aperol
- 2 ounces cranberry juice
- 1 ounce sparkling water
- Fresh rosemary, cranberries and orange slice, for garnish
In a wine glass over ice, combine the champagne, Aperol, cranberry juice and top with sparkling water. Garnish with fresh rosemary, cranberries and an orange slice for a festive, fruity cocktail.
Whiskey Spritz
- 1.5 ounce whiskey (bonus points if its the local favorite, High West)
- 1 ounce brandy
- 4 ounces champagne
- 1 ounce club soda
Make the ultimate western spritz by combining the whiskey and brandy in a wine glass with a large ice cube. Top with champagne and club soda, then garnish with a cinnamon stick for a cozy, bubbly hug in a glass.
Aperol Spritz
- 3 ounces champagne
- 2 ounces sparkling water
- 2 ounces Aperol

Note, if the Aperol taste is too strong for your tastebuds, add more champagne or club soda.

- 1 ounce cinnamon whiskey

Grand Royal
- 5 ounces champagne
- 1.5 ounces Grand Marneir
- Orange slice, for garnish
In a champagne flute, combine champagne and Grand Marnier for a deep, citrusy flavored way to level up your brut. Add an orange garnish for aesthetics.
Black Velvet
- 10 ounces Guiness Stout
- 4 ounces champagne
Fill a beer glass about three-quarters of the way with a Guiness Stout, then let it sit and settle. Once properly foamed, top with champagne and gently stir for a creamy, sweet treat. Can you say adult root beer float?
