Big Dipper Park City to Feature New Summer Cocktails and Mocktails

Big Dipper, the adventurous sandwich, soup, salad and soft serve hotspot at the top of Park City Main Street in the Star Hotel, has added some refreshing cocktails and mocktails to their menu for the hot summer months.

For a non-alcoholic flavor journey, try the Turn Of Fresas with strawberry-lime soda, pineapple soft serve, whipped cream, strawberries and strawberry pearls, and even gummy bears on top! The fruity mocktail would pair well with sandwiches like Karleen’s Uptown Turkey Grilled Cheese (slow-roasted turkey breast with white cheddar, gruyere, garlic-herb goat cheese, bacon, arugula and fresh tomato on sourdough and served with a side tomato soup) or Get Your Mojo Rising (provolone, Cuban roasted eggplant, mushrooms, zucchini, bell pepper and onion with cilantro and vegan black bean soup).

Big Dipper’s Coco-Melo is a new summer beverage.

If you are more in the mood for a beverage with a little somethin’-somethin’ in it, enjoy the Coco-Melo, made with hard coconut water, vanilla soft serve, shredded coconut, pecans, caramel sauce, heath bar crunch and whipped cream. This luscious creation goes well with Seoul-ed Out (slow-roasted beef, kimchi, a fried egg, kalbi ketchup, yakisoba noodles, sesame-ginger mayo and a ramen broth dip). Another possible match on the menu could be the Saigon In Sixty Seconds sandwich (slow-roasted beef, pork liver pâté, jalapeños, herbs, pickled vegetables, cucumber, bean sprouts, sriracha mayo and a pho dipping broth). There’s also the Hot Tejana sandwich, with roasted pork shoulder, jalapeños, avocado, red onion, cotija, cilantro, spicy mayo, cucumber, lime juice, hot Cheetos and a chili broth for dipping.

Other food menu items of note include salads like the La Frontera, which includes romaine lettuce, grilled chicken, tomato-jalapeño vinaigrette, avocado, cilantro, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, jalapeño, cotija and hot Cheetos, or the Cadillac Caesar Salad with grilled chicken, romaine lettuce, cherry tomatoes, red onion, avocados, cucumber, parmesan, bacon and Caesar dressing with gluten-free croutons.

We are really excited for the expanded soft serve menu, especially Park Silly and car-free Sundays return for the summer, and we really think they provide fun flavors that the whole family can enjoy and maybe a giggle or two.”

-Matthew Safranek, Chef/Partner Big Dipper Park City

Don’t miss the Utahts (tater tots served with with creamy chicken soup, bacon, cheddar cheese and Fritos) and – of course – their famous soft serve (pineapple, vanilla or swirl), with your choice of toppings like Ghirardelli caramel sauce, Hershey’s syrup, M&Ms, Oreos, marshmallows and crushed Heath Bar. For young diners, there is a tot’s menu, with grilled cheese sandwiches, corn dogs and mac and cheese, with your choice of tomato soup and, naturally, tots.

Don’t forget soft-serve for dessert!

Big Dipper was opened in 2021 by Cortney Johanson, Fabio Ferreira and Matthew Safranek. Sister restaurants include 350 Main Brasserie, The Spur Bar & Grill and The Star Bar, also in the Star Hotel. Partner and chef Matthew Safranek says: “We are really excited for the expanded soft serve menu, especially Park Silly and car-free Sundays return for the summer, and we really think they provide fun flavors that the whole family can enjoy and maybe a giggle or two.”
