Butchers Chop House and Bar is excited to announce their first socially distanced outdoor dining event, to take place on Saturday, September 12. The event includes a five course tasting menu for $49 per person, with optional wine pairings for an additional $39 per person, and a walk through from local guest sommelier Cameron Mercer with Mercer Beverage Marketing.
We want people to experience something different outside the norm of just going out to dinner, and at a great price point, while social distancing.
Jason Yelton, Director of Food and Beverage and Group Events for DBR group

The Butchers Chop House and Bar five course dinner begins with Pacific oysters on the half shell with mignonette sauce. Guests will then enjoy a second course of ahi sashimi tacos, mango salsa, wasabi mayo, micro greens, in a wonton shell. For the local followers, this dish is a variation of the tuna poke found on the Butchers Chop House menu. The third course, is a Chilean sea bass with herbed chimichurri sauce, five spice baby carrots and coconut jasmine rice, followed by another familiar staple on the menu at Butchers Chop House, a petite beef filet with garlic herbed butter, marinated mushrooms, and jalapeño bacon mac and cheese. The last course is a raspberry and lemon sorbet duo.
There are a few variations of things from the menu, a few staples. We’re a steakhouse and we’re trying to be somewhat true to who we are.

Along with the patio style dinning and flavorful food, guests will have the option to purchase and sample a wide variety of wines, like a brut sparkling French rosé and a voluptuous, rounded French white burgundy. A bright, big, classic California pinot noir made the list as well as a softer, well-rounded, Bordeaux style, red blend from Napa. And the final course, showcases a local purveyor, Old Town Cellars, from Park City.
We have some really good, fun, eclectic wines and a lot of these wines may not be in peoples’ wheelhouses. They are names and brands that people aren’t that familiar with.
Jason Yelton
It was important to Yelton that each wine chosen for the event could be found in the state, so that guests could purchase and bring home a reminder of their experience at Butchers.
We wanted to give people something different to do. You’ve got to always be creating and innovating and giving people something fun to do. We wanted a fun dining experience without breaking the wallet.
Jason Yelton
