Celebrate Pie and Beer Day With Squatters and Wasatch Brew Pubs

Pioneer Day. It’s the holiday that if you mention to anyone who doesn’t live in or isn’t originally from Utah, there’s a very good chance they will have no idea what you’re talking about. Probably because it is an official holiday that only takes place in Utah. It’s on July 24 and commemorates the day in 1847 when Mormons entered the Salt Lake Valley. It’s a pretty big deal, seeing as the majority of the population is of the Mormon religion. So it’s no surprise that banks and businesses close down for the day to celebrate. For many of us who live in Utah who may not be of the Mormon religion, why not take advantage of a potential day off and celebrate as well? That’s where one of the best made-up holidays comes into play, Pie and Beer Day. A play on words, celebrating two things people love to consume: pie and beer. The day has become the alternative holiday alongside Pioneer Day.

This year, both Squatters locations and Wasatch brew pub locations will become the perfect place to celebrate, and for those who haven’t indulged in Pie and Beer Day yet, a great way to introduce you to what it’s all about!

When: ONLY on Friday

Where: Squatters Roadhouse Grill and Pub in Park City (1900 Park Avenue) , Wasatch Brew Pub in Park City (250 Main), Squatters Pub Brewery Downtown (147 W Broadway) and Wasatch Brew Pub Sugar House (2110 South Highland Drive)

What: Enjoy $2.50 draft beers and $2.50 slices of Squatters Peanut Butter pie! (pictured above)
