At this point in life, I am pretty sure I have seen and tried endless flavor options when it comes to margaritas. I suppose that’s one of the beauties of tequila is that when it’s good tequila (like Vida) not only is it wonderful to sip on, but it pairs well with just about any fruit juice, mixer, etc. but I must say I think this is a first! Just in time for everything pumpkin flavored, why not add the classic margarita to all the fun and make it pumpkin? Frida Bistro located in Salt Lake City has concocted just that with our beloved Vida Tequila and I cannot wait to shake one of these up at home.
Being someone that has spent a good amount of time in Mexico, Dia De Los Muertos is a holiday that I can actually say I grew to understand the meaning of and even celebrated as a kid so this will be the perfect cocktail to celebrate both the seasonal fall flavors and the Day Of The Dead!
Ingredients
- 2 pumps lime juice
- 2 pumps agave
- 1 oz blended pumpkin purée (recipe below)
- -1 lb plain pumpkin can, 1/2 habanero, 15 oz liquid smoke, 1 tbsp, cinnamon, 1 tsp cloves, 1 tsp nutmeg, 8 pumps agave, 1/4 cup orange juice
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients together
- Garnish with an orange slice and cinnamon sugar on the rim
