New at Flanagan’s: Renovated Bar, Great Specials And More

When Park City locals and visitors want to experience the Luck of the Irish (or at least a taste of it!), Flanagan’s on Main is the go-to spot. Serving authentic Irish “fayre,” such as chicken boxty, fish and chips, shepherd’s pie, bangers’ n’ mash and corned beef and cabbage, the traditional pub and restaurant is also known for serving Guinness Draught on tap along with a full selection of Irish whiskey.

Inside, the hand-crafted and custom designed furniture and decor make Flanagan’s feel like a small pub in the Irish countryside. They also recently redid the basement area, where they replaced the furniture and created a new VIP area. This provides ample space for the live bands who perform on Saturdays in the winter, as well as the legendary karaoke nights on Fridays.

It also makes a perfect area to host a large private party or reception, which has become a big focus of Flanagan’s, general manager Ivonne Timar tells us. “We have space for 30-plus people, a bar and can serve any of the food off the menu or serve a buffet.” Whether it’s for a company retreat, a birthday or another event, they will customize the experience for you to make sure it’s a memorable and delicious evening. Recently, Flanagan’s was able to put the downstairs area to good use when they served as a venue for the Park City Songwriter’s Festival, which Timar says had a great turnout and amazing talents performing.

Another feature that sets Flanagan’s apart is the fact that they offer multiple specials during the week, all yearround. From Monday to Thursday, you can order two entrees for the price of one! Every Thursday is prime rib night, which is a locals’ favorite: get a 12-ounce prime rib for $32, or a 24-ounce for $39 (not included in the two-for-one deals). Tip: They also serve appetizers half-off at the bar Monday through Thursday as well!

In addition to the live music on Saturdays and karaoke on Fridays, starting in November, Flanagan’s will also host a trivia night on Thursdays from 6-9 p.m. Follow them on Facebook or Instagram to stay in the loop!

One final note: Flanagan’s has good news for families looking for a fun atmosphere for dinner on Main Street. Unlike other bars on Main Street, the upstairs is completely family-friendly and offers a kids menu, including chicken fingers and mac n’ cheese.
