New restaurants are pop’n up all around Park City. Put these newbies in your back pocket for your next night out! (I promise to have more details about each of these very soon! Just wanted you to know what is out there sooner than later!) (Above: The Spur Bar & Grill: Outdoor heated patio pictured)
Firewood will be having their soft opening around Dec. 10 and open to the pubic soon after. Chef John Murcko, a longtime Park City resident, is the brains behind this restaurant. Firewood will seat 150 guests, with the emphasis of the cooking style being… yep, you guessed it — firewood. A 14 foot custom grill will be what preps your entrée of choice. Everything will be prepared over the open fire with a smoker, flame or coal. The design of the restaurant is absolutely breathtaking. Not to mention, Murcko has played more than the chef role; he and his father have been personally involved in building everything from the tables to the backdrop of the firewood behind the hostess desk. A MUST-see. (Above: Firewood: Logo pictured; Photo Credit: OpenTable)
Harvest is open and located in downtown Park City at 820 Park Ave. Their motto: Food. Coffee. People. (Three of my favorite things as well!) Their menu is created mostly with ingredients from local farmers and small-scale producers. The chefs take their passion for food and creativity by turning those ingredients into magical dishes reflecting the current season. The coffee is sourced from what they believe is the best of the best fair trade beans in the world and roasted locally, creating the perfect cup of coffee or espresso. And the people part, well go see for yourself– they will most likely be a part of your family sooner than later. (Above: Harvest: Vietnamese pork belly roll pictured; Photo Credit: Sarai Wycoff)
Riverhorse Provisions will be opening in just a few weeks at the Historical Imperial House. The concept is a gourmet noshery, market and café open from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. daily. It’s obviously part of the amazing Riverhorse on Main, and I’m sure will leave no wonder to the palette as to why this is a sister restaurant to one of the best.
The Spur Bar & Grill reopened Tuesday. The new space is unbelievable — like double take when you walk through the (front) door, unbelievable. Now two stories tall, bars on each floor, a heated patio on the 2nd floor, and delicious food (new brick oven pizzas), this is a restaurant you may want to put on speed dial for your next reservation.
