Old Town Cellars Dedicates New Cabernet Release to Outdoor Enthusiasts

Known as the official wine of apres, Old Town Cellars, a private label winery located in historic Park City, will officially release a new cabernet next week. The wine, called S.O.M., also is bottled in a brand new design.

The oTc team, made up of passionate outdoor enthusiasts, has dedicated the cabernet blend to those skiers and mountaineers that have lost their lives while pursing their passions in the mountains.

Legend has it that the black birds flying around high alpine peaks are the reincarnated souls of the skiers and mountaineers that are no longer with us. This project combines the inspiration we draw from a life spent recreating in the shadows of the mountains, with our passion and love of wine. We dedicated this wine to our fallen heroes.

Old Town Cellars to release a new bottle design and S.O.M. cabernet blend on June 16.

Like the raven, the S.O.M. is mysterious, complex and bold. Drawing from Napa Valley’s finest vineyards, the S.O.M. hones in on qualities that make the region world class, dark fruits and a strong structure that gets better with age. The blend, made up of 91% cabernet sauvignon, and 9% cabernet franc, was created using top tier Napa Valley Rutherford fruit.

Be the first to taste the new wine at oTc on June 16. Old Town Cellars is open Wednesday through Sunday 3-9 p.m.
