Park City Breakfast on the Go!

With the school and work schedules picking up and the weather cooling down, we’ve rounded up some quick Park City options for breakfast on-the-go to suit any early morning cravings.

A classic go-to breakfast sandwiches get a unique spin in several of Park City’s restaurants. Bonnie & Clydes in Prospector is open starting at 7 a.m. Their signature sandwich, “The Becky” comes with eggs, bacon and havarti cheese on a fresh kaiser roll. Make sure you opt to “make it thick” and they will serve it with hash browns and hot sauce in the sandwich.

The Tina’s Bakery takes an Argentinian spin on a classic breakfast sandwich by wrapping eggs, bacon, breakfast potatoes and cheese into one portable empanada. While they do not open until 11 a.m., Tina’s offers a take-and-bake option for every one of their empanadas. Straight from the freezer, you just pop them into your oven at home to bake and be on your way for the day.

For a more leisurely breakfast and an open-faced sandwich starting at 8 a.m., Harvest Cafe serves the avocado toast or soft scrambled eggs over a thick slice of fresh sourdough with bitter herbs and salsa verde.

The visual that often comes to mind when the words on-the-go breakfast are mentioned is a fluffy bagel with a schmear of thick cream cheese. In Park City we’re lucky enough to have two options conveniently located on either end of town that open bright and early at 6 a.m. If you are in or headed downtown, Wasatch Bagel & Grill in the SnowCreek complex serves house made bagels, bagel sandwiches and a full (hand drawn) menu of other selections.

Out in the Jeremy Ranch Area, Park City Bread and Bagel will be the easiest spot to stop on your way to school and work. With unique options like a french toast bagel, with a maple glaze and crunchy sugar baked on top, or cheddar jalapeno – and of course perfectly paired cream cheese options – they will have something to suit any taste.

For those who opt for a caffeinated, liquid only breakfast, the coffee shops in Park City will be more than happy to provide. Park City Coffee Roaster located at Kimball Junction has their own “local’s secret” roast, and many signature barista-crafted drinks to kickstart your morning. They also have a full selection of bakery items from local partners like Vosen’s cronuts or breakfast sandwiches and burritos made in house.

Silver King Coffee is Park City’s only drive through coffee shop. Not only the convenience of their central location, but the quality of their drinks have built a loyal following that stop through on their morning commute. For tea lovers, Atticus on Main Street crafts their own custom blends, with names inspired by literary legends. Open daily at 7 a.m., be sure to stop in to try their full menu of hot or iced teas and espresso drinks.
