Park City’s Best Ways to Ring in 2022

The new year is just about here! Are you ready to close the door on 2021 and see what 2022 has in store? Park City hotspots offer a variety of ways to celebrate the arrival of the new year. Here are some recommendations to help you get the most out of your New Year’s Eve celebration.

Family-Friendly Events

Families can kick off the New Year at noon Year’s Eve at the Kimball Art Center. The event is from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Dec. 31. Kids can participate in a Gratitude Garland – making their own party hat and confetti popper, playing with clay, enjoying juice and snacks and make memories in the photo booth. Register in advance online. Admission for each child is $35.00 – accompanying parents are free!

The outdoor, family-friendly festivities will also begin early in Canyons Village. After a day on the slopes, you can dance to the tunes of DJ Velvet from 3 to 5 p.m., then enjoy a live performance by The Coverdogs at 5:30 p.m. Fireworks will be launched at 7:30 p.m. Cookies and hot cocoa will be distributed while supplies last. This event is free and open to the public.

If you are hungry during the celebration at Canyons Village, swing into Drafts Burger Bar at the Westgate Park City Resort and Spa for a Blue Moo Burger (overflowing with blue cheese, caramelized onions and their special sauce) or Loaded Tatchos with smoked gouda cheese sauce, bacon, tomatoes, green onions and sour cream, accompanied by one of the largest milkshakes you have ever enjoyed! If you are in the mood for lighter fare that is still warming, duck into Kuchu Shabu for a steaming bowl of ramen (try the Tan Tan Men – savory pork, soft-boiled egg, bok choy and carrot in a tonkotsu broth), rice bowls with fried chicken or thinly sliced rib eye or their traditional Japanese hot pot.
