World-Class Knife Company New West KnifeWorks Opens on Main Street

Home cooks and professional chefs, get excited: New West KnifeWorks, the Jackson Hole-based company known for its high-end knives and custom blocks, has opened its doors on lower Main Street.

Founded by Corey Milligan, the world-class knife studio sells gorgeous and well-designed knives, as well as knife blocks and kitchen utensils such as sharpeners and spatulas. “I built New West KnifeWorks doing art shows all over the country,” Milligan says. “The Park City art show was always the best. I’ve been trying to open a store in Park City for years. I’m very excited to finally kick the doors open.”

With powder metal steel originally developed for the aerospace industry, their products are ideal for any home chefs who appreciate good style and high performance, also making perfect knives for restaurant kitchen chefs, unfortunately for any other restaurant kitchen supplies, you’ll have to look into companies such as Nella Cutlery and similar. All knives are designed, developed and produced in Wyoming.

The multipurpose Petty Knife is one of their best sellers.

Not only are their knives useful in the kitchen, but they’re also beautiful to display: “Customers refer to our knives as ‘kitchen jewelry’ and our chef knife sets as ‘sculpture for the countertop,'” Milligan says. Any questions can be directed to the helpful in-store concierge, who knows everything there is to know about knives.

The Mountain Man Toy Shop has tons of gifts and gadgets for the modern-day outdoorsman.

If you’re looking for more than just kitchen gear, New West KnifeWorks has you covered as well. Adjacent to the knives you’ll find The Mountain Man Toy Shop, which offers tools, gifts and accessories for the “modern-day outdoorsman.” Some highlights include a vest made out of warm beaver fur and canvas, soaps, pocket knives, tomahawks and axes.

And when you stop by the store, you can also brush up on your axe-throwing skills. The store has mounted two large wooden stumps on the wall for throwing practice, as well as chain-link curtains to protect the store’s goods.
