RIME Seafood and Raw Bar: Happy Hour With a View

Located at the top of the Jordanelle ski run and the Mountaineer Express Lift at Deer Valley Resort is RIME Seafood and Raw Bar. The walk-in-only eatery is open through April 11 and is also accessible by foot via the Jordanelle Gondola. Owned by Matt Harris, a renowned chef and Park City restaurant owner, the ski-in, ski-out slope side raw bar serves up fresh seafood, daily happy hour specials, and bottle service with amazing deck dining views.

We have a large deck with lots of sun. The east side of the deck gets sun most of the day and overlooks the Jordanelle. It’s a $10 million dollar view. The happy hour deck also overlooks Park City and Deer Valley. I think you’ve got a pretty good view no matter what.

A casual setting with counter service and indoor and outdoor seating, the Raw Bar is the perfect place to apres in full ski attire after a day on the slopes. Order from seafood specialties like Connecticut style lobster rolls, filled with lobster from Deer Isle, Maine, shrimp cocktail, chopped Ahi tartare, and homemade clam chowder. For happy hour choose from a variety of east coast oysters for $2.50 each. And for the non seafood lovers, a menu favorite is the French dip sandwich made with sliced Wagyu beef, and served with a horseradish mayo and rosemary herb au jus sauce.

RIME Seafood and Raw Bar offers bottle service with a selection of champagne and bubbles, by the glass or bottle, from Adami Garbel Prosecco to Bouvet Sparkling Brut Rosé, Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label Champagne, and Roederer Estate Sparkling Wine.

Happy hour at RIME Raw Bar is focused on fresh seafood and a good selection of champagne and bubbles for bottle service. My flavor palate tends to lend to the east coast oysters so we have two to three types of oysters from the east coast, Cape Cod and Massachusetts. The most popular seafood dishes are the homemade clam chowder, and the lobster roll is definitely the king.
