Celebrate National Beer Day with These Park City Breweries

This Wednesday, April 7, is national beer day. That’s right, a day devoted to the world’s oldest and most widely consumed alcoholic beverage. Find a seat at your local watering hole, or pick up a six-pack to enjoy at home. Wherever you are raise a glass filled with your favorite dark, pale, hoppy, bitter or smooth, craft beer. And don’t forget to thank those who work hard to bring such a selection of handcrafted beers to Park City all year long.

Squatters offers a variety of world-class handcrafted beers at several locations throughout Park City and Salt Lake City, including Squatters Roadhouse Grill, located on Park Avenue in Park City. The brewery has created everything from the Brilliant Bier, a classic light bodied German-style Pilsner, to the Hop Rising, a hop lover’s dream, combining a malty flavor to an Imperial IPA. The Hell’s Keep from Squatters is a complex and refreshing Belgian-style golden ale, and the Full Suspension is a rich, Northwest-style Pale Ale. This unfiltered and deliciously seasonal beverage is a two-time Great American Beer Festival® Gold Medal winner. The Juicy IPA is a fresh squeezed glass of hazy deliciousness with bright, citrus aromas and notes of ripe stone fruit. The unfiltered Northeast IPA is just what you need on a warm sunny day.

The Wasatch brewpub, located on historic Main Street in Park City, is one of several Wasatch locations in and around the Park City and Salt Lake City areas. Known as the first brewery in Utah, and one of the first craft brewers in the U.S., Wasatch serves smooth, fruity craft beers like the Apricot Hefeweizen, an unfiltered hefeweizen with an apricot nose and a refreshing and slightly tart finish. The Island Hop is an unfiltered tropical IPA filled with notes of pineapple and orange, made for easy drinking. And the Jalapeño Cream Ale, is made with over 100 pounds of fresh jalapeños, creating an intense aroma mixed with a creamy malt backbone. The most recent release from Wasatch is the Strawberry Blonde Ale. This refreshing craft beverage is brewed with real strawberries, creating a crisp, light-bodied ale, and is available at all locations and in stores near you. And to end the night try the Polygamy Porter, a smooth, chocolatey, easy drinking brown porter.
