Squatters Craft Beers is celebrating 30 years of business with a beer fest that includes Squatters Craft Beer and other local Utah breweries.
Conception of Squatters began with a business trip to the Northwest. Jeff Polychronis and Peter Cole went to brew pubs in their travels and noticed they seemed to be a hub for locals to hang out. They decided Salt Lake needed a brew pub of its own. Squatters Pub Brewery opened in downtown Salt Lake City on September 5, 1989.
Although much has changed since the first Squatters beer was poured in 1989, Squatters remains dedicated to their original goal of providing their customers world-class, handcrafted beer and food in a warm, friendly environment.
For the event, Squatters has partnered with nationally-syndicated and locally-revered political cartoonist, Pat Bagley (who is celebrating 40 years with the Salt Lake Tribune), to produce an original mural on the exterior of Squatters. They will be dedicating the mural at 2:30 p.m. the day of the event.
From 3-5 p.m., Squatters’ founders Cole and Polychronis, will be chatting with Kerry, Bill and Gina from X96’s Radio From Hell during a live recording of their “Not Safe for Radio” Podcast in the Pub.
See you there to celebrate!
