Nothing goes together better than porches and summer — that is other than summer cocktails on porches!
Sundance Mountain Resort is absolutely breathtaking in the summer, and spending a day there sipping and dining at the Owl Bar or the Foundry Grill is is a summer must. But when you can’t make it to Sundance, enjoy a little inspiration from Sundance on your own porch.
Try the Red Porch, a new Sundance summer cocktail. It’s made with watermelon and whiskey, two of my favorite summer treats. This recipe also calls for black pepper syrup, which I have never made, so I found this simple recipe on Food & Wine. Cheers!
Ingredients
- 1 ½ ounces silver whiskey
- 1 ounce black pepper syrup
- 2, 3-inch-by-1-inch slices of watermelon, muddled
- Splash of lemon, lime and orange juice
Instructions
- Put all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake (optional). Serve on the rocks.
