Milkshakes: 5 Ways

The temps are dropping, and the leaves are changing – but there are still some warm, sunny days to be had! This weekend’s forecast says sunshine and perfect temps, and we plan to enjoy the weather with milkshakes in our hands.

Lucky for us, and you, we have rounded up some cool offerings in the area. You’ll want to give one or each of these a try while the sun is shining this fall.

Dairy Keen: Too Many to Choose from

Dairy Keen

The scoop: With 84 possible combinations of fruit, candy and more, the shake options are endless. There are seasonal specialty shakes and multiple sizes for anything your appetite desires.

Why we love it: Flavors like banana cream pie, chocolate-dipped strawberry and mint chocolate Oreo are a slam dunk. The tropical breeze is a favorite (orange sherbet and vanilla ice cream mixed with raspberries and bananas).

Champions Club at Stein Eriksen Lodge: S’mores Milkshake

Dairy Keen

The scoop: Vanilla ice cream is blended with house-made marshmallow syrup and chocolate fudge. It is topped with graham crackers, toasted marshmallow and whipped cream.

Why we love it: Drink this milkshake while sitting next to the pool or playing classic (and modern) arcade games.

Drafts Burger Bar: Not Udderly Possible Milkshake

Drafts Milkshake

The scoop: Dairy-free, vegan (coconut-based) peanut butter-chocolate ice cream is blended with almond milk before it is topped with dairy-free whipped cream, sprinkles and a slice of vegan, gluten-free cake.

Why we love it: Everyone can indulge in this sweet treat, and we mean everyone, since it is served in a huge, fishbowl glass. In case you need more, the glass is dipped in chocolate and sprinkles.

The Shed at Promontory Club: Huckleberry Milkshake

Promontory Milkshake

The scoop: Award winning wild huckleberry ice cream from Moo’s Gourmet Ice Cream in Jackson Hole is blended with milk, wild blueberries and served in a hurricane glass. To top it off, it is garnished with a waffle cookie, fresh berries and a sprig of mint.

Why we love it: The blueberries add a tart sweetness and brighten the flavor of the unique huckleberry treat.

Alberto’s Mexican Restaurant: Cookie’s and Cream Milkshake

Alberto's Milkshakes

The scoop: Vanilla soft serve ice cream is blended with Oreos to create a luscious cream and cookies milkshake that is just the right consistency.

Why we love it: At $5.99 for a 18-ounce shake, it is hard to find a better deal in town. We love the large seating area inside along with the drive-through option, which puts the cherry on top of this milkshake experience.
